WHAT:
Rep. Nunn will announce federal funding secured to expand a youth-centered hub at the Ottumwa Career Campus. The project will transform existing space into a flexible community resource that provides mentorship, workforce exposure, tutoring, hands-on programming, and support services for students and young adults.
This investment builds on Rep. Nunn’s broader effort to strengthen Iowa’s workforce pipeline and expand career-connected opportunities. Last week, Rep. Nunn announced a $2 million federal investment at DMACC to modernize campus facilities and expand workforce training programs. Rep. Nunn is also leading the PARTNERS Act, bipartisan legislation to strengthen apprenticeship partnerships between small businesses, community colleges, and workforce training providers — helping more students build the skills and experience needed to succeed in Iowa’s growing economy.
