MINBURN, IA — On Friday, September 25, Representative Zach Nunn (IA-03) will join U.S. Department of Agriculture Under Secretary Glenn Smith, Minburn Mayor Joe Stuetelburg, and other local leaders in Minburn to discuss ongoing efforts to improve water quality for Iowa families and provide an update on the $2 million federal investment he secured to replace aging water infrastructure and improve drinking water reliability for Minburn families.

WHAT:
Rep. Nunn will join USDA Under Secretary Glenn Smith and Minburn Mayor Joe Stuelterburg to provide an update on Minburn’s water infrastructure project, made possible by $2 million in federal funding he secured in 2024.
Following the project update, Rep. Nunn and Under Secretary Smith will highlight ongoing efforts to advance Iowa-led water quality solutions, including Rep. Nunn’s recent work to secure four Iowa water priorities in the House-passed Water Resources Development Act, deliver $500,000 to complete a 21-county water monitoring network, and establish a state-led pilot program to address nitrogen and phosphorus pollution in Iowa’s watersheds.
