DES MOINES, IA — Congressman Zach Nunn (IA-03) launched a new testimonial ad series featuring real Iowans sharing how the One Big Beautiful Bill Act is delivering for families, workers, small businesses, and farmers. The first ad spotlights Sarah Curry of Glenwood, IA, whose family has benefited directly from meaningful tax relief. The second ad highlights Erika, a waitress from Ankeny, IA, who will benefit from no federal tax on her tipped income.
“Whether it’s families like the Currys investing in their kids’ futures or service workers like Erika keeping more of their hard-earned tips, the Big Beautiful Bill is delivering real relief,” said Rep. Nunn. “These ideas came from Iowa families and workers who spoke up about what they needed most. We took those ideas to Washington and turned them into real wins for everyday Iowans.”
In the first ad, Sarah Curry, who testified before the House Ways & Means Committee in 2024, underscored the lasting impact of tax relief for families like hers:

In the second ad, Erika, a waitress at Whisky River Bar & Grill in Ankeny, underscored how ending the federal tax on tips will directly help service workers like her:

For the first time, I’m not getting taxed on tips I earn,” said Erika. “That’s huge. I want to thank Congressman Nunn for making sure that service workers like me were included in this bill. At the end of a long shift, it means a lot to know that Washington finally understands how hard we work. This is pro-worker, plain and simple—and it’s about time.”
The ad series, which is running digitally and on social media, features Iowans including parents, waitresses, barbers, law enforcement, farmers, and small business owners. Each testimonial highlights wins Congressman Nunn fought for in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, including:
