Iowa’s main street businesses are a critical part of what makes our state so vibrant. During my short time in Congress so far, I’ve met with Iowans in all 21 of the counties that make up the Iowa 3rd Congressional District and appreciated the opportunity to visit many of our community’s businesses.
This Small Business Week, I wanted to make sure you had the latest information on my work for Iowa’s small businesses, which includes:
-
Working to reduce red tape for small businesses that is making it harder for job creators in Iowa to turn the key in the door every morning, including fighting against federal government control of private property in Iowa through the misguided WOTUS rule.
-
Improving access to small business resources in rural communities by passing the Expanding Access to Capital for Rural Job Creators Act and working across the aisle to improve broadband in Iowa’s rural communities.
-
Fighting to lower inflation that is making input costs more expensive and driving up prices for consumers, including by passing the REIN IN Act.
There’s no doubt that Iowa’s main street businesses are critical to the health and prosperity of our communities. I’ll keep fighting to ensure you have the resources you need to succeed, and the rest of the time, to keep the federal government out of the way so you can do what you do best.
