Congress has a responsibility to the American people to work together.
In the Air Force, I learned that no successful mission can be completed alone. We didn’t ask what party our brothers and sisters in uniform belonged to before we completed our mission. In Congress, I will likewise work with anyone to complete this mission.
People must come before partisanship. That’s why I’m committed to reaching across the aisle to work with those who are willing to roll up their sleeves, have hard conversations, and find real solutions to the problems that face Iowa families. To that end, as your representative, I have made bipartisanship my top priority:
- More than 80% of the bills I have introduced have garnered bipartisan support.
- I am a cosponsor of more than 90 bills introduced by Democrats.
- Nearly 90% of the bills I’ve helped pass have been bipartisan.
Here’s the bottom line: while partisan bickering often grabs headlines in the news, we have made a real difference for Iowa’s families by working in a bipartisan fashion. I’ll keep fighting to bring commonsense solutions forward for you.
