GRIMES, IOWA — U.S. Representative Zach Nunn (IA-03) today held a resource fair, the Community Connections for Retirees, in Grimes to help Iowans get connected to local community organizations, government agencies, and other resources in our area. Nearly 100 community members and retirees attended today’s event to learn more about resources available to them.
“As your Congressman, I’m 100% committed to ensuring Iowa retirees have access to the benefits they worked hard for and earned,” said Rep. Nunn. “It’s my hope that the Community Connections for Retirees resource fair helped Iowans access the support they need and learn more about resources available to them in our community.”
Keynote speakers for the event included Rep. Nunn, and representatives from the Social Security Administration and the Alzheimer’s Association. Also in attendance were AMAC, the Iowa Attorney General’s Office of Scams and Fraud, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and more.
The event was open to all retirees, soon-to-be retirees, and individuals supporting retirees. More photos can be found here.
