Today, I visited the Lucas County Health Center and met with their team to discuss the challenges facing rural healthcare providers. We discussed ways to improve telehealth access and address staffing shortages in rural communities.
As your Congressman, I’m working to ensure we have:
- Access to excellent and properly trained healthcare workers in every hospital, urgent care, and primary care office.
- Expanded investment in rural broadband so telehealth services are available to every Iowan.
- Strong Medicare services because we must ensure everyone who pays into the system receives the care they are owed.
- Supportive home health services that can provide care where it is needed.
Bottom Line: Ensuring that every Iowan has access to high-quality healthcare is my top priority, no matter where they live.
