Hope is not a strategy

China is not hiding the ball — they have their eyes on Taiwan. CCP aggression and territorial ambitions have grown in recent years, with more incursions into the waters of Japan, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

As a Colonel in the Air Force and a combat veteran, I know the U.S. is ready to respond militarily, but here’s the problem: we have no plan in place to protect our economy from the fallout of an invasion, which would cause:

📉 A 34% stock market crash

💥 A $10 trillion hit to global GDP

🏭 Key semiconductors manufacturing facilities falling into CCP hands

This wouldn’t just hit Wall Street. Main Street Iowa will be severely impacted.

The solution: Today, I introduced a bipartisan bill to identify our vulnerabilities and build an economic contingency plan for if China attacks Taiwan.

This morning, I joined Fox & Friends to explain how this plan would defend both our national security and Iowa’s economy. Click here or below to watch.

Bottom Line: We pray we never need a plan like this — but hope is not a strategy. This bill makes sure we’re ready.
