🌽 E15 PASSED

Two weeks ago, I sat down with producers at a roundtable and got the same question I’ve heard across all 21 counties: when is Congress going to stop making farmers fight for a waiver every spring just to sell the fuel they grow?

Yesterday, we answered it.

What happened: The House passed a bill to authorize permanent, year-round E15 sales nationwide. The same access E10 has had for decades, finally extended to the fuel Iowa farmers produce. No more annual waivers. No more uncertainty. ⬇️

It shouldn’t have taken this long. E15 already saves drivers an average of 42 cents a gallon over regular gas, and every gallon blended at the pump is Iowa-grown instead of imported. But for years, lobbying dollars and backroom deals kept this bill from getting a vote. Until this week, when we held the line and finally put E15 on the floor

Why it matters: Every gallon of Iowa-grown ethanol is a gallon we aren’t importing from overseas, and every dollar saved at the pump is another dollar back in the pockets of Iowa families. It also means Iowa producers finally have the certainty Congress has been asking them for years — not a waiver, not a favor, a permanent fix.

What’s next: The bill heads to the Senate. President Trump and VP Vance have both said it in Iowa: send over a bill for year-round, nationwide E15, and they’ll sign it without delay — that’s the next mission.

Bottom Line: The House did its job, but the fight isn’t finished. We’ll keep pushing to make year-round, nationwide E15 the law of the land.
