DES MOINES — U.S. Representative Zach Nunn (IA-03) today announced this year’s winner of the 2023 Congressional App Challenge for Iowa’s Third Congressional District: Syon Aggarwal, a freshman at Johnston High School. Aggarwal developed an app, PrepFlex, to help students sort tasks and priorities to ensure that classwork is completed on time, every time.
“Congratulations to the winner of this year’s Congressional App Challenge for Iowa’s Third Congressional District, Syon Aggarwal from Johnston,” said Rep. Nunn. “His app can help his classmates – and students across the country – stay organized and on top of their school projects. This is just the start of a bright future for Syon. I can’t wait to see what’s next for him!”
The Congressional App Challenge is an annual competition in each congressional district that encourages middle and high school students to learn to code and inspire them to pursue careers in computer science. Winners were chosen by a panel of expert judges and will have their app featured on the Congressional App Challenge website. Rep. Nunn serves as co-chair of the Congressional App Challenge with U.S. Representative Ted Lieu (CA-38).
