Supporting Our Service Members

Defending our country is a top priority. There is so much more to do to keep our country safe – and that includes supporting the men and women in uniform.

I won’t lie to you – the American military is experiencing a recruitment and retention problem. Enlistment numbers are dropping, and many of our best men and women are choosing to “get out” and I can understand why. Deployments, long hours, and relocating are part of the job, and I remember how hard it was to find stability at home while I was serving abroad.

As an Air Force Colonel, husband, and father of six, I know firsthand how important it is that our servicemembers and their loved ones get the support they need. Anyone willing to serve our country in uniform deserves the gratitude of our nation.

That’s why I just voted for the 2025 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which delivers the largest pay increase in history for junior enlisted troops, strengthens military housing options, expands mental health support, and provides critical funding for childcare programs that will support military families.

Bottom Line: We owe a debt of gratitude to those who serve. I’ll never stop fighting to support them every way we can.
