Cutting-edge Ag Research

Agriculture isn’t just an industry in Iowa, it’s our way of life. Our farmers feed and fuel the world, and to keep up that tradition, Iowans need access to the tools to tackle the challenges of both today and tomorrow.

That’s why I helped lead the introduction of the Genome to Phenome Reauthorization Act, which would promote agricultural research at Iowa State University and other land-grant universities to increase crop yields while also lowing costs for Iowa’s farmers and producers.

This groundbreaking USDA program helps researchers to understand how animals and crops respond in the real world — from drought to disease. This knowledge means better yields, healthier livestock, and more resilient farms.

Bottomline: Let’s make sure Iowa’s voice is loud and clear: farmers and producers need the tools to farm smarter, not harder. This critical program isn’t just commonsense — it’s also a direct investment in our rural communities, food security, and the future of farming.
