DES MOINES — Representative Zach Nunn (IA-03) today announced his reappointment to the bipartisan Congressional-Executive Commission on China for the 119th Congress. Speaker Mike Johnson formally announced the appointment, reaffirming Rep. Nunn’s leadership in holding the Chinese Communist Party accountable for human rights abuses and combating the malign influence of Communism.
“The Chinese Communist Party is one of the greatest threats to freedom and human dignity in the world today – it silences dissent, crushes faith, and spreads propaganda beyond its borders,” said Rep. Nunn. “I’m honored to be reappointed to the Commission and leading the charge to expose the CCP’s systemic repression, counter its global influence campaigns, and ensure the United States remains a global leader in confronting tyranny. I remain committed to holding China accountable and developing a comprehensive strategy to combat the threat from China head-on.”
