❌ Ban Insider Trading

In Iowa, service means putting your community first — not cashing in on insider information. Yet too many in Washington have forgotten that, using their public office to line their own pockets instead of delivering for the American people.

Zoom in: There’s a viral stock trading app that lets users copy trades made by Members of Congress. Its top-performing portfolio? The “Pelosi Tracker,” which returned 45% last year by following the former speaker’s trades.

This isn’t a partisan issue. In 2024 alone, a small group of both Democrats and Republicans in Congress used information the public didn’t have to make more than $200 million in market gains. That’s wrong.

When I was elected to Congress, I sold every individual stock I owned. It was a simple decision: I’m here to serve Iowans, not to play the markets

This week, I stood alongside a bipartisan group of lawmakers to introduce legislation banning Members of Congress and their families from owning or trading stocks while in office.

📺 Watch the press conference here:

This is a step in the right direction, but we can do more to root out corruption and ensure Members of Congress play by the same rules as the people they represent.

That’s why I’m leading the No Corruption in Government Act to:

Ban stock trading for Members of Congress and their spouses

📉 End automatic pay raises for Members of Congress

Triple the lobbying ban for Members of Congress

Bottom Line: Iowans expect their elected officials to work for them — not pad their own stock portfolios. I’ll keep fighting to root out corruption and make Washington work for the people it’s supposed to serve.
