🚔 Safer Streets. Real Results.

After years of chaos at the border, rising crime, and illicit drugs pouring into Iowa communities, we’re finally turning the corner — and Iowa families are safer because of it. In the past year alone, we’ve seen real progress:

🚨 Murders down 20%

🚗 Carjackings down 25%

🏠 Robberies down 18%

💊 Overdoses down 24%

That kind of progress doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when we back the blue, listen to the men and women on the front lines, and take their ideas straight to work in Washington.

What’s new: This week, Iowa law enforcement took that literally. I met with local sheriffs and state law enforcement officials who came to D.C. to talk about what’s working — including securing zero federal taxes on overtime pay — what still isn’t, and how we build on the progress we’ve made.

We discussed how our GUARD Act can work alongside the Regional Information Sharing System (RISS) to help local law enforcement fight back against scammers, share intelligence across jurisdictions, and better protect Iowa families.

Their message was clear: law enforcement needs support that’s practical, targeted, and focused on keeping officers where they belong — on patrol, protecting our communities.

That’s exactly why we’re focused on giving officers every tool they need to get the job done and why I’ll keep fighting to make sure communities remain safe and secure.

Bottom Line: Iowa’s law enforcement officers step up to protect our communities every day. I’ll keep backing them up with the tools they need to get the job done.
