Here’s a shocking reality: Under the Biden-Harris Administration, Border Patrol recorded more than 52,000 arrests of illegal immigrants with criminal backgrounds. Keep in mind – this is only the number of apprehended criminals, there could be more. We know these illegal immigrants are dangerous based on their history.
Now, once those illegal immigrants are across the border, it can be difficult to deport them. Even if they commit a domestic violence offense, their deportation can be delayed or cancelled completely – despite their heinous acts.
Today, I voted to change that. The Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act will make it so migrants with a criminal history of sex offenses or domestic violence can’t enter our country, and swiftly deport those who commit such crimes once here.
Bottom Line: Our nation should have a zero-tolerance policy for domestic violence. We can’t allow anything to jeopardize the safety of our communities – and must hold bad actors accountable for their actions.
