As we celebrate Juneteenth today, I want to take a moment to commemorate the end of slavery and reflect on the precious nature of freedom.
Those who advocated for the end of slavery in our country made the United States a freer, more prosperous, and more perfect union. We, as Americans, have a tremendous duty to ensure their mission of freedom is upheld into the future as well.
The promise of America is to never stop striving for freedom and a more perfect union. Let us never forget the promise of America as we continue to fight to fulfill that mission.
