Iowa is a very special place. We are humble individuals, but our state plays an essential role on the global stage. Representing Iowans keeps me motivated every day, and we made big progress this week.
First, I introduced the ReConnecting Rural America Act to improve access to high-speed, affordable internet in rural Iowa. Second, among several bills we passed this week, I want to highlight the Middle Class Borrowers Protection Act to ensure Iowans aren’t penalized with higher fees on their mortgages for having good credit. Finally, this past weekend, I had the distinct honor to take part in the christening of the USS Iowa.
