We’ve had a great week working across our community, including spending time in Montgomery County.
While in Stanton, I spent time with innovators working to end the housing crisis in Iowa. Farmers Mutual Telephone Company and Alquist 3D have added an industrial-sized 3D printer to their operations that could help with creating specialized 3D homes. These kinds of homes, made of concrete, are more resilient against storms, tornadoes, and fires. They are also far more energy efficient for the homeowner, cutting costs by up to 50%.
Hearing from our neighbors is one of my favorite parts of being your congressman. I also spent time today visiting with:
- Cass County community leaders to discuss their investment in early education for students in Griswold
- A family-owned fish farm supporting tourism and agriculture in Taylor County
- Farmers and agribusinesses in Page County for a Farm Bill listening session
