California government bureaucrats are at it again. First, they came for agriculture, and now they are coming for affordable, gas-powered vehicles. They want to limit your ability to purchase a vehicle of your choice by completely banning gas-powered vehicles.
Iowa leads the nation when it comes to affordable and reliable energy options, including ethanol, renewable energy sources, and more. The best part of an all of the above energy policy in our country is we can maintain energy independence while providing families with affordable and reliable energy options.
To that end, we just passed the Preserving Choice in Vehicle Purchases Act to ensure every consumer has choice when it comes to a vehicle that best supports their family. We will not tolerate California bureaucrats dictating consumer choices for the rest of our country!
Bottom line: I’ll keep fighting to get the federal government out of the way so that Americans can live their lives as they choose. Government is supposed to work for the people, not the other way around. As your representative in Congress, I will continue fighting to defend consumer choice, maximize energy independence, and cut costs for American consumers!
