Strengthening Our Workforce 💪

In order to keep good paying jobs in our communities, we have to ensure that our workforce has the skills to take them on. In rural communities, we need these good paying jobs to stay competitive.

Skilled workers are high in demand and apprenticeship opportunities are good for the workforce, good for business, and good for our economy.  Hands-on learning opportunities are the best way to ensure that our workforce has the skills needed to take on open roles in critical industries, such as childcare, agribusiness, manufacturing, healthcare, and more.

That’s why I cosponsored the Creating Access to Rural Employment and Education for Resilience and Success (CAREERS) Act, which will support training opportunities in rural areas to help Iowans secure good jobs.
