As a dad of six, nothing is more important than keeping our kids safe.
There’s danger pouring over our Southern Border – drugs, human trafficking, and violence. We need to do more to secure our border, but we can also do something now to make our communities safer.
That’s why I introduced the bipartisan Safe Schools and Communities Act to provide competitive grants to public schools to teach kids about the dangers of gang activity, drug use, and human trafficking. Schools are a major influence on our kids and with this program, we can help teach them how to stay safe.
Bottom Line: We can protect our kids and save lives with commonsense solutions. This legislation will help make that a little easier.
