Today would’ve been his 33rd birthday

Today would have been Marine Corporal Adam Lambert’s 33rd birthday. Adam was a son, brother, and a proud Marine who tragically lost his life to suicide just a year after returning home. His story is a sad reminder of the mental health struggles many veterans endure when they return from service.

As a 20-year Air Force Veteran, I have witnessed firsthand the difficulties veterans face after service. That’s why I introduced the Daniel J. Harvey Jr. and Adam Lambert Improving Servicemember Transition to Reduce Veteran Suicide Act to ensure every veteran has the support they need to transition from their tour of duty to civilian life. This critical legislation passed the House of Representatives in May of this year.

In Adam’s memory, I’ll keep fighting to ensure this bill becomes law.
