Happy Independence Day! We live in the greatest country in the world – and we should proudly celebrate it today and every day.
As we gather to celebrate one of the most significant days in our nation’s history at grill outs, parades, and fireworks, we must remember that freedom is not free. We could not be the land of the free without the brave who fought for our country throughout history. Bravery and sacrifice are the bedrock upon which our independence stands, and we owe the men and women of our armed services a debt of gratitude that can never be fully repaid.
It is the honor of my life to serve our community, state, and country in Congress. I hope I’ll see you around as we celebrate 248 years of America this weekend.
