I am excited to host an information session on July 16 to help Iowa students interested in attending a military Service Academy. The purpose of Service Academy Day is to help students, parents, and counselors navigate the process of applying to any of our excellent service academies.
The process to apply, navigate, and receive acceptance to a military academy can be a very overwhelming task, especially since a requirement to attend is a letter from a U.S. Representative, Senator, or the Vice President.
I want to provide our community’s high school students with the resources to ensure every student who wishes to apply has the opportunity to do so and is able to feel confident in their application.
This event will include presentations from the U.S. Air Force Academy, West Point (U.S. Army), U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy to provide information about the application process. Our team will also be there to assist with any questions and provide applications to those interested.
