Let me be clear – border security is national security. Throughout my time in Congress, I’ve called on the Biden-Harris Administration to secure our Southern Border and get our country back on track. Each day we don’t address the crisis at our Southern Border, we’re allowing more and more danger into our communities.
Cartels are taking advantage of this Administration’s lax border policies. They exploit people in vulnerable situations and traffic them across the border – before abusing, raping, or forcing them to work in extreme conditions. We must stop the cartels now.
That’s why I co-sponsored the Cooperation on Combatting Human Smuggling and Trafficking Act to require the authorities in the U.S., Mexico, Central America, and South America to work together to combat human trafficking and smuggling operations.
