Healthcare is deeply personal, which is why I always fight to put patients first. Options are often limited in rural communities – and patients have to travel a long way to get the care they need. No matter Iowans reside, I believe they should have access to a healthcare system that offers more choices and more affordable options.
That’s why I just secured a $2 million federal investment for the Wayne County Hospital to expand dialysis care for patients in their six-county service region. This investment will help the Wayne County Hospital construct a critically needed, state-of-the-art dialysis center to provide life-saving care to those in need.
