This week, I had two very special visitors in Washington, my daughters, Jayna and Selwyn! The girls had a front-row seat to see what it means to work hard for Iowans. From joining me on the House floor for votes to exploring our nation’s monuments and even making a stop at the zoo, it was a great reminder of why I fight every day to make our state stronger for the next generation.
Check out this quick recap of our week:
- Stopping China from trafficking fentanyl by cosponsoring bipartisan legislation to cut off cartel cash flow and shut down money laundering networks.
- Preventing massive tax hikes for Iowans by voting to stop a looming 22% tax increase on middle-class families, farmers, and small businesses.
- Ensuring rural seniors have access to food by introducing bipartisan legislation to help food banks to deliver meals directly to those in need.
