The hands, hearts, and hard work of Iowa’s farmers feed and fuel the world. Agriculture touches every aspect of our lives from the food on our tables to the clothes we wear. That’s why I’m committed to ensuring that Iowa’s voice is at the table when it comes to agriculture policy.
Today, U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins joined me for visits in our community:
- Kicked off the day at a Farm Bill listening session to hear directly from Iowa farmers about their priorities
- Announced key investments for farmers and biofuel producers at a tour of Elite Octane with Governor Kim Reynolds
- Visited a family farm in Waukee to discuss how we can help pork producers during the worst economic downturn in years
- Attended a roundtable hosted by the Iowa Farm Bureau to discuss 2025 Farm Bill priorities
Bottom Line: I will continue to listen and learn from Iowa’s farmers – and ensure their priorities shape a stronger Farm Bill in Washington.
