🕊️ PEACE Through Strength

Vladimir Putin’s war against Ukraine continues to inflict devastating harm. Despite President Trump’s strong leadership and multiple rounds of negotiations, Russia’s armed forces continue to strike Ukrainian cities, civilians, and critical infrastructure.

Zoom in: Russia has ramped up its attacks on energy facilities in recent weeks, killing multiple civilians and leaving hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians without heat or electricity.

As a combat veteran and former intelligence officer, I know that we can’t talk our way to peace. Putin only responds to strength. That’s why I’m leading the bipartisan PEACE Act, a sanctions bill designed to choke off the foreign banks fueling his war machine.

The PEACE Act would give the Treasury Department new authority to:
🚫 Sanction foreign banks that prop up Russia’s energy sector
💵 Cut off cash to sanctioned Kremlin entities
⚖️ Block violators from accessing the U.S. financial system

Bottom Line: Forcing the Russians to the negotiating table requires strong U.S. leadership. Our bill equips the Trump administration with the tools it needs to get the job done—protecting global stability, deterring future threats, and keeping Iowans safe in an increasingly dangerous world.
