There’s nothing quite like an Iowa parade — flags waving, marching bands playing, and neighbors lining the street.
Today at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, we celebrated the brave men and women who have worn our nation’s uniform. This year’s Veterans Day Parade carried special significance as we marked the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War Commemoration — a powerful reminder of the service and sacrifice of an extraordinary generation.Â
Iowa’s Vietnam Veterans led the way as Grand Marshals, standing tall and proud, just like they did in service to America.
