At the Iowa State Fair, I heard from so many of you about what matters most, and what you want to see fixed in D.C.
One of the best parts of this job is listening to Iowans and bringing your ideas back to Washington. Whether it’s tax relief, balancing the budget, or investing in our rural communities, I’m working to make D.C. a little more like Iowa — with commonsense, community-led solutions that put families first.
That’s exactly what we delivered in the One Big Beautiful Bill, and last week, I sat down at the Fairgrounds with the Curry family from Glenwood to talk about the difference it’s making.

Thanks to the expanded Child Tax Credit we passed — now up to $2,200 per child — the Curry family was able to:
âś… Buy new supplies to start the school year right
âś… Cover speech therapy for their son, Isaac, who has autism
âś… Replace a broken water heater on their family farm
Sarah’s story is a reminder of what we’re fighting for: solutions that actually make life better for families. That’s the standard. That’s the mission. And it starts with listening to Iowans.
Bottom Line: The best ideas don’t come from Washington — they come from right here at home. We’ll keep fighting to turn those ideas into real solutions for Iowa families.
