🐾 Ending Dog Racing

In Iowa, dogs aren’t just man’s best friend — they are an essential part of our families. Whether it’s a farm dog keeping an eye on the livestock, a loyal companion waiting by the front door for the kids to come home, or a service animal standing guard beside a veteran, our four-legged friends are at the heart of our homes.

They show us loyalty, comfort, and joy, and they deserve the same in return.

The problem: Not every dog in America is treated like family. Across the country, greyhounds are being abused for profit — locked in cages for 23 hours a day, pushed into dangerous races, and injured just to fuel a dying gambling industry.

Now, illegal websites are making it worse. These offshore platforms stream greyhound races directly into U.S. homes, letting people skirt our laws and bet on cruelty with the click of a button.

The solution: We just introduced the bipartisan Greyhound Protection Act to: 

✅ Ban greyhound racing in all 50 states

✅ Stop gambling on U.S. and overseas greyhound races 

✅ Prevent the export of American dogs for racing abroad 

Bottom Line: Dogs deserve better than a life in a cage and pain for profit. This bill gives greyhounds across America the dignity, safety, and protection they deserve.
