Iowa is one of the best places in America to live, work, and raise a family. And even as the days get colder, our state’s role in powering the nation’s future is heating up.
Why Iowa? Because we’ve got what it takes — world-class producers, a skilled workforce, and the know-how to lead in renewable fuels, agbio innovation, and rural energy development.
What we’re doing: It’s Energy Week in Washington, and we spent the past few days passing commonsense reforms to cut red tape, strengthen American energy production, and lower costs for families.
Why it matters: When we unleash Iowa’s energy potential, we lower utility bills, reduce the cost of everything from gas to groceries, and strengthen our national security. Energy is the engine of our economy — and producing more of it here at home means more stability for every Iowan.
That’s exactly the message we heard from the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association during our meeting this week, where we discussed:
✅ Finalizing tax credits for clean fuel production — secured in the Working Families Tax Cuts
✅ Year-round E15 access to give consumers more choices and lower prices at the pump
✅ Expanded global markets for Iowa-made biofuels through trade wins with Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and Malaysia
Bottom line: Iowa isn’t just feeding the world — we’re fueling it too. And we’re doing it with smart policy and homegrown innovation designed to drive down costs, grow our economy, and power America’s future.
