💵 Tax Cuts For All

As a dad raising six kiddos, I know how quickly a family budget gets eaten up by everyday expenses. That’s why I helped pass the largest working families tax cut in American history — to give your family, and every family across America, a little extra breathing room.

Zoom in: One of the most popular provisions we’ve heard about is ‘No Tax On Tips’, a commonsense win that lets service workers — waitresses, bartenders, and delivery drivers — keep more of what they earn.

That same pro-family, pro-worker approach runs throughout the law:

⏰ No tax on overtime pay

👶 A $2,200 Child Tax Credit for working families

👪 My $5,000 fully-refundable tax credit for families who choose to adopt

The problem: Some states and cities are trying to block this commonsense relief by refusing to adopt these provisions designed to put more money back in the pockets of working families.

And it’s not just California. One of the most blatant examples came out of Washington, D.C., where the city council voted to claw back tax relief that working families are counting on this tax season.

The solution: This week, I voted to stop D.C. politicians from limiting the tax cuts Congress passed — and to make sure they can’t pick winners and losers when it comes to who gets relief.

Bottom Line: Tax cuts only work if families can actually claim them. I’m fighting to make sure the relief we passed applies to everyone — and that working families keep more of what they earn.
