In the last year, we’ve seen more than 7.8 million illegal immigrant encounters nationwide. Each time our Southern Border is crossed illegally brings new dangers for us, even if we’re 1,000+ miles from the border.
I’ve talked with law enforcement throughout Iowa. They tell me the crisis at the Southern Border is impacting families of even the smallest communities right here in Iowa.
Their biggest concern? The free flow of illicit drugs – like fentanyl – into our communities.
