CO-SPONSOR ALERT: A skilled workforce for Iowa

We should be investing in hands-on learning opportunities, like apprenticeships and training programs, that help Iowans get the skills they need to start their career. In as few as four weeks, a student can go from the classroom to a job paying $50,000 per year.

That’s why I cosponsored the Promoting Apprenticeships through Regional Training Networks for Employers Required Skills (PARTNERS) Act to create a grant program that will help expand training opportunities between small businesses and registered apprenticeship programs.
