Mexican cartels are taking advantage of the Biden-Harris Administration’s open border policies to flood fentanyl over our border. This cheap, but deadly, drug is flooding into the U.S., wreaking havoc in communities across the country and killing a record number of Americans.
In fact, fentanyl is the leading cause of death for Americans from my daughter’s age all the way up to my age.
Let’s dig deeper into how this fentanyl is manufactured and smuggled into our country ➡️
- China is the primary source of fentanyl production. The chemical compounds for the deadly drug are manufactured in Beijing and then sent to cartel laboratories in Mexico.
- Mules from the Mexican cartels then move deadly fentanyl across our wide-open Southern Border and disperse these drugs in our local communities and neighborhoods, killing our friends, neighbors, and family members.
The longer we let the top leaders of the Chinese Communist Party continue to poison our loved ones, the more dangerous this crisis will get. It is time we put an end to this heartbreaking madness.
That’s why I offered an amendment on the House Floor today to sanction any Chinese Communist Party-owned business that produces chemicals for fentanyl. In a big victory for community safety, this amendment passed the House of Representatives.
Bottom Line: We must stop this crisis at the source and keep our fellow Americans safe. My heart goes out to all the families in my district and across the country affected by this crisis.
