Healthcare and your access to it is something I will never put in jeopardy. Our healthcare workers are our hometown heroes, and I will never stop uplifting your voices as we improve healthcare access across the district.
Unfortunately, drug prices are going up, rural communities lack access to care, and patients need more support. That’s why in Congress, I’m fighting to ensure care is easily accessible for every Iowan:
- Supporting dialysis care in rural Iowa by securing a $2 million federal investment for the Wayne County Hospital Dialysis Center
- Fighting pediatric cancer by passing legislation to ensure kids can try combination treatments to beat cancer just like adults
- Protecting Medicare by leading legislation to expand coverage, prevent cuts, and stop delays
- Expanding access to Medicare by supporting legislation to improve rural health coverage
- Decreasing costs for prescription drugs by supporting bipartisan legislation to prevent price gouging
- Increasing access to birth control options by advocating for over-the-counter options
- Ensuring access to care in rural areas by supporting legislation to improve rural broadband and support community hospitals
- Improving timely access to care by introducing legislation to fix the nationwide nursing shortage
- Making healthcare more affordable by championing legislation to expand the kinds of care paid for by Medicare
- Supporting those fighting addiction by securing a $750,000 federal investment for the Polk County Life Services Center
- Addressing maternal mortality by leading bipartisan legislation to make maternity care more accessible
