Big News! The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) passed the House of Representatives this week, bringing us closer to our goal of strengthening national security and supporting those who serve.
As a 20-year combat veteran and Colonel in the Air Force, I understand the urgent need to keep America safe. That’s why I fought to include several key priorities in this annual defense package:
- My amendment to bolster American innovation and deepen strategic partnerships with our strongest ally in the Middle East, Israel
- The largest pay raise in history for junior enlisted servicemembers
- Increased support for the National Guard to defend our Southern Border against illegal immigration and the flow of dangerous drugs
- Stronger measures to counter the Chinese Communist Party’s efforts to spy on Americans and undermine our economy, intellectual property, and national security
Bottom Line:Â This bill is a win for our national security, a win for our troops, and a win for the future of our nation.Â
