Iowa’s farmland is some of the most productive in the world, and it should stay in the hands of American farmers, not foreign governments. Right now, foreign entities are buying up U.S. farmland, raising serious concerns about our food security and national security. That’s not something we can afford to ignore.

That’s why I cosponsored bipartisan legislation to stop foreign adversaries from purchasing American farmland. Our farms feed families, create jobs, and strengthen our rural communities. We need to protect them from outside influence and keep our agricultural resources where they belong—with the hardworking folks who make our country strong.
Bottom Line: Our land is our future. I’ll keep fighting to protect Iowa farms, support our farmers, and keep foreign governments out of our food supply.
