Whether it’s an Iowa manufacturer building precision agriculture equipment or a small business selling American-made products around the world, our workers deserve a fair shot to compete in the global economy.
The problem: China’s Communist Party is rigging the system. In just one year, they handed out more than $500 billion in shady loans—propping up their own industries and flooding global markets with unfairly subsidized goods.
📉 These tactics undercut American workers and drown developing nations in debt.
⚠️ Shady loans have allowed CCP’s so-called “Belt and Road Initiative” to become a modern-day debt trap—not a development tool.
The solution: I just introduced the Neutralizing Unfair Chinese Subsidies Act to hold China accountable to the same trade rules the U.S. and our allies follow.

📌 What our new bill does:
✅ Develops a strategy to bring China into compliance with international trade standards
✅ Requires twice-yearly negotiations to roll back unfair export subsidies
✅ Demands accountability through annual progress reports to Congress
Bottom Line: Iowa workers and businesses play by the rules every day, and they deserve a level playing field. I’m leading the charge in Congress to hold China accountable and stop the CCP from gaming the system.
