💰 Tax Relief is HERE

For working families across Iowa, tax return season means a check in the mail to help pay for the basics — gas, groceries, or a little extra set aside for the future. That’s always mattered. But this year, it matters even more.

Zoom in: Because of the Working Families Tax Cuts we passed last year, working Iowans and the small businesses that employ them are seeing real relief as those tax return checks begin arriving in mailboxes across the state.

Why it matters: Every dollar that stays in Iowa instead of going to Washington is a dollar a family can spend at a local business — or a small business can reinvest in a new hire. For families who have spent the past several years watching every dollar, that relief can make the difference between just getting by and finally getting ahead.

That’s exactly what we heard this week from Iowa entrepreneurs during our roundtable discussion on tax relief, economic growth, and the future of Iowa’s economy. ⬇️

Here’s what that impact looks like for Iowa so far this year:

💵 More than $3,000 in average tax savings per family

📈 Average tax refunds running 11% higher compared to last year

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 $4,000 to $7,200 more in annual take-home pay for workers

🏭 Greater certainty to invest, hire, and grow for Iowa’s 290,000 small businesses

Bottom Line: Washington doesn’t have a revenue problem — it has a spending problem. I’ll keep fighting to cut taxes, rein in wasteful spending, and make sure more of what Iowa families earn stays right here in Iowa.
